ONE OK ROCK

I’ve been looking around for new bands to add to my collection and recently I stumbled upon a group that fits my tastes quite well. Come, let me give you a preview and see if you’re tastes are at all similar to mine. ;)

Overview

One Ok Rock is a Japanese band I’ve started listening to all the time. After getting all of their works, and then stripping out all of the English songs(which wasn’t many), I was left with around 25-30 songs that I absolutely love to death. Apparently, there were 五 band members in the beginning, but now it’s down to 四. Haven’t looked much into the why the other member left, but I did find out something I thought was kind of funny / 面白い (interesting). According to Wikipedia,

The band name, One Ok Rock, came from “one o’clock,” the time that the band used to practice on weekends. However, noticing that the Japanese language made no distinction between r’s and l’s, they changed “o’clock” to “o’crock” (or “o’krock”) which then became separated to become “ok rock”.

You can find out more about the band here.

Preview

And here is a 2nd video(I decided to show two cause their songs can vary in style quite a bit):

Anyone know of any similar bands? I’m trying to build my collection further and further. It keeps me from falling back to any non-Japanese music, as long as I have enough variety.
